Born Sept. 2, 1920, in Madera, the daughter of Anthony and Carmela (Peleritti) Panasci. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Francis "Jeff" McElyea, who died in 1976; brother, Nicholas Panasci; and sister, Jennie Roberts. Survived by niece, Harriet Roberts, Franklin Square, N.Y., and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1938 graduate of Boswell High School and a graduate of Indiana State Teachers College, Indiana. She worked as a school teacher until her retirement in 1985 from the Conemaugh Township and Barstow California schools. Friends received from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hauger- Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. The Rev. Fr. J. Mark Zimmerman officiating.
