   Teney McElyea, 86, Franklin Square, N.Y., formerly of Jerome, died Jan. 15, 2007, at
  Calvary Hospital, Bronx, N.Y. Born Sept. 2, 1920, in Madera, the daughter of Anthony and
  Carmela (Peleritti) Panasci. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Francis "Jeff"
  McElyea, who died in 1976; brother, Nicholas Panasci; and sister, Jennie Roberts.
  Survived by niece, Harriet Roberts, Franklin Square, N.Y., and numerous nieces and
  nephews. A 1938 graduate of Boswell High School and a graduate of Indiana State Teachers
  College, Indiana. She worked as a school teacher until her retirement in 1985 from the
  Conemaugh Township and Barstow California schools. Friends received from 9 to 11 a.m.
  Saturday at the Hauger- Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, with a funeral service to follow
  at 11 a.m. The Rev. Fr. J. Mark Zimmerman officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial
  Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 168 W. Union St.,
  Somerset, PA 15501.
