McGarry Sr., 61, of Chambersburg, formerly of Boswell and Easton, passed away unexpectedly, Sept. 25, 2003 at home. Born Nov. 21, 1941 in Clearfield, son of Kenneth C. Sr. and Sarah (Aszman) McGarry. Preceded in death by parents; grandson, Michael Troutman; and brother, Kenneth C. McGarry Jr., all of whom pastor in now enjoying in heaven. Survived by loving wife of 40 years, the former Carol Karnes and children: Michelle, married to Charles Williams, Clifton Forge, Va.; Michael W. Jr., married to Shelly Elliot, Pasadena, Md.; and Kristina, married to William Kennel, Somerset. Proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren. Also survived by sisters: Audrey, married to Tuffy Wilt, Bradford; and Linda, married to George Brown, Limestone, N.Y.; brothers: Patrick McGarry and wife, Linda, Olean, N.Y.; and Peter McGarry and wife, Eve, Bradford; and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1960 graduate of Bradford High School and a 1976 graduate of the Nazarene Bible College, Colorado Springs, Col. Minister in the Church of the Nazarene for 30 years having ministered in churches in Illinois, Virginia and West Virginia as well as Boswell and Easton. Was instrumental in building the New Life Church in Boswell and also founder and first administrator of the Bradford Area Christian Academy, Bradford, Pa. Licensed real estate agent with Country Living Real Estate in both Pennsylvania and Maryland and had planned on making that his full-time vocation during his forthcoming retirement. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Life Church of the Nazarene, 870 N. Main St., Boswell, the Rev. Randall S. Dillon, host pastor and other clergy of the Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment, Richland Mausoleum. Memorials may be sent to Promised Land Church of the Nazarene, 9982 Hecktown Road, Bethlehem, Pa., 18020. Flowers may be delivered to the church after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
