  McGUIRE
  
    Elwood E. McGuire, 54, Somerset RD 1, died Jan. 1 in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Nov. 19, 1921 in Middlecreek Township, a
  son of Abraham P. and Florence Saylor McGuire.  Preceded in death by
  first wife, Betty Yoder.  Survived by his wife, Beatrice Forney and
  these children:  Carol, wife of Samuel F. Wiedner Jr., Berlin RD 4;
  and PFC Kevin L., with the U. S. Army in Germany; four grandchildren
  and one sister, Mrs. Leah Mitchell, Somerset RD 1.  Member of the
  Somerset Church of the Brethren, a veteran of World War II and he was
  employed by Solar Fuel Co.  Friends are being received at the Robert
  H. Halverson Funeral Home where service will be conducted Sunday 1:30
  p.m. with the Rev. Paul R. White officiating.  Interment, Somerset
  County Memorial Park.
