McGuire, 85, 1220 Cider Press Road, Chambersburg, died April 30, 2007, in her home. Born Jan. 1, 1922, in Beaver Falls, she is a daughter of the late George M. and Vandetta Dietz Arisman. She was the widow of Lt. Robert G. McGuire, who died Nov. 28, 1944. She also is preceded in death by her brother, George M. Arisman, Jr. She is survived by one son, Michael G., and wife, Christine McGuire, Bentleyville, Ohio; two grandchildren, Geoffrey R., and wife, Colleen McGuire, Parkman, Ohio; and Sarah M. and husband, David Bogen, Madison, Wis. A graduate of the Latrobe High School, Janice had worked as an administrative assistant at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Thomas L. Gisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201. The Rev. Janet Friedline and Mrs. Margaret Kipilo will preside. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Aid Society, 255 Miller St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
