Born June 17, 1904 in Windber to John and Kathleen (McNamara) Lochrie. Preceded in death by Donald McIlvaine; Donald Booz; sons, Donald V. Booz II and David Lochrie Booz and 14 brothers and sisters. Survived by: sister, Mary Jane Fee of Fort Pierce, Fla.; daughter, Kathleen Booz Gibbs of Somerset; son, William Booz of Fairfax, Va.; and daughter-in-law and friend, Trudy Booz of Kutztown. Survived by grandchildren: Donald and Thomas Booz of Germany; Susan Baxter of Hellertown; David Booz of Kutztown; Scott Gibbs of Somerset; Kellie Gibbs of Holland; Kristin Dabney and Hendrik Booz of Virginia. Also great-grandchildren: Sarah, Rachel, Patrick Baxter; Samantha and Sara Gibbs; Trevor and Korey Booz; Debra, Marvin and Caroline Booz and Caroline Dabney and nieces and nephews. Kathleen is a graduate of National Park in Forest Glen, Md. Member of the Fort Nightly Club of Somerset; a board member of the West Chester Historical Society; Garden Club of West Chester, Gray Lady of Chester County Hospital, Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, an avid gardener, knowing trees and wildflowers of Pennsylvania; and an accomplished artist in oils. Instrumental with friend Elizabeth Graham in the founding of Saint Francis in the Fields Episcopal Church, Somerset. Former owner of the Conestoga Inn; a lifelong collector of antiques as well as a dealer for over 40 years. Attended the Episcopal Church in Kutztown. A memorial service was held Sunday. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Lochrie Family site, Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown. Daily American, August 8, 2000 [M0832]
