For the past several years she resided at assisted living facility on Galbraith Road in Cincinnati. She was born August 24, 1909 in Belington, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rhoderic E. McIntire, a signal maintainer for the Western Maryland Railroad. He died in 1987. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Anne Mirkin of Phoenix, Arizona; sons, William R. McIntire of Sarasota, Fl.; and C. Scott McIntire of Cincinnati, Oh.; a brother, Robert K. Smith of Charleston, W. Va.; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren. She attended Shepherdstown College and was a teacher. She came to Meyersdale with her family in the early 1940s, was a homemaker and member of the United Methodist Church of Meyersdale. A private memorial service will be held later in Pennsylvania.
