McIntyre, 85, Indian Lake, died April 26, 2007, at Somerset Hospital. Born Oct. 10, 1921, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Lewis W. and Catherine (Tomer) McIntyre. Preceded in death by son, Malcolm; brother, William; and stepson, Frederick Ritchey. Survived by wife, the former Dorothy Huston; children, Christian, Richard and Keri, all of Los Angeles; stepchildren, Harry Ritchey, Berlin; and Timothy Ritchey, Charlottsville, Va.; granddaughter, Leslie VanKleek, Portland, Ore.; and step grandchildren, Harry Ritchey, Tara Dively, Timothy Ritchey and Christine Manning. Also survived by four great-grandchildren. James was an Army veteran of World War II and fought in Europe and was a self-employed engineer and was one of the designers of Lake Stonycreek and Indian Lake. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and Unity United Church of Christ. James enjoyed flying, traveling and playing golf. His hobbies included music, woodworking and pottery. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Unity United Church, P.O. Box 132, Shanksville, PA 15560. Jim was an experienced pilot and aerial topographer. His hobbies included farming, beekeeping, music, woodworking, pottery making and golfing. He enjoyed reading and trav- el.
