Norma departed the world from her home of 33 years in Annandale, Va., after a brief illness. Norma served her family and country tirelessly as a sister to four, mother to five, grandmother of 16 and wife of 46 years to Graham, a West Point graduate and career Army officer. Her selfless nature epitomized dignity and dedication to others-as she touched their lives. Norma Sidney's beautiful red hair and optimistic loving outlook will be missed by all that experienced the joy of knowing her. God bless you, sweet angel. Norma is the daughter of the late George W. and Mildred M. Zimmerman of Somerset. She is a sister of Georgie Close, Ronald Zimmerman, Sallyann Zinn and Maxine Fetzer; sister-in-law of Owen E. McIntyre; and niece of Katharine and William DePolo. The family will receive friends at DeMaine Springfield-Annandale Chapel, Blacklick [sic*] and Edsall Rds., Springfield, Va., 22151 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday. Interment is private. Friends are invited to the residence at 8416 Queen Elizabeth Boulevard, Annandale, immediately following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Northern Virginia, 6565 Arlington Blvd, Suite 500, Falls Church, Va. or the American Cancer Society.
