He was born Sept. 10, 1913. Son of the late Thomas J. and Martha C. McKay of Pittsburgh. Preceded in death by daughter, Martha Misitaen, and grandson, Robert McKay; brothers, Thomas J. Jr., and James C. McKay and sister, Elizabeth Wychkoff. Survived by wife, Elizabeth and these children: Lawrence Jr. and Wife, Susan Frymire, Waitsfield, Vt.; Thomas J. II and wife, Marjorie Gardner, Somerset; Michael and wife Pamela Thomas and Peter C. and wife Heidi Krieger, all of Ligonier; 10 grandchildren. Lifetime member Rolling Rock Club and Duquesne Club. Served in U.S. Navy in World War II as a naval lieutenant in South Pacific on PT boat. Co-owner McKay Co., Pittsburgh. Member St. Michael of the Valley Episcopal Church. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael Church, Rector [sic]. Private interment, St. Michael Cemetery.
