Born Feb. 22, 1901 in Pittsburgh. He was the son of the late Charles Stuart McKeag and Mary (McClintock) McKeag. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Gladys A. McKeag. He is survived by two daughters: Mary Lou Miller and her husband, Dr. Wayne Miller of Meyersdale and Dr. Joanne L. McKeag of Angola, Ind.; two grandchildren: Kathleen McClure, wife of Sam McClure and Wayne Miller Jr., and his wife, Sandy; four great grandchildren: James Marshal McClure and his wife, Stacey of McVeytown, Pa.; Wayne L. Miller III of Meyersdale; Elizabeth Miller of Carlisle and Mary Rebecca McClure of Pittsburgh; three step grandchildren: Travis, Taryn and Todd Smith all of Meyersdale. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Laverne Anderson of Pittsburgh and his good friend, Don Anderson and wife, Bebe. He was a retired Safety Inspector for the Atlas Cement Co. of Universal, Pa. He lived in Swissvale until retiring to Meyersdale in 1974, where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, family and friends. He was a 32nd Degree Mason; Past Master of the Swissvale Lodge; and a member of the Syria Shrine. He was also a member of the Salisburg -Elk Lick Hunting Club. Friends will be received at the Leckemby Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at the Leckemby Funeral Home on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Gene Abel officiating. Interment will be held in the Union Cemetery, Meyersdale. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salisbury-Elk Lick Hunting Club, c/o Don Anderson, Salisbury Street, Meyersdale, Pa. 15552.
