She was born Nov. 16, 1880. Her death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage, following an illness of one week. For some years Mrs. McKee had her home with her brother Robert and sister Alice Baum, both unmarried, and living on the farm where her parents had lived for many years. It was from there that Mrs. McKee was taken to the hospital only a few days before her death. Besides her brother and sister with whom she made her home in recent years, Mrs. McKee is also survived by one other sister and five brothers, namely, Mary, wife of Samuel Horchler of Elk Lick Township; John Baum, Grantsville, Md.; George Baum, Charlottesville, Va.; Charles Baum, Berlin; William Baum, Cumberland, Md.; and Ralph Baum, Covington, Va. Funeral services were conducted at the home of Robert and Alice Baum, last Monday, at 2:30 p.m., Rev. Ira S. Monn of Salisbury, officiating. Mrs. McKee was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed Church, and was held in high esteem by all who knew her. Her father was a native of Germany, and her mother of Lonaconing, Md. They were very exemplary citizens of Elk Lick Township for many years. The remains of Mrs. McKee were interred in the Salisbury I.O.O.F. Cemetery, under the direction of Stanley M. Thomas, Salisbury mortician. Meyersdale Republican, October 8, 1942
