  McKELVEY
  
    John M. McKelvey, 65, of 121 Locust St., Scalp Level, formerly of
  Boswell, died Oct. 12, 1983, In Lee Hospital, Johnstown.  Born May
  18, 1918, in Jenners Township, a son of Simon W. and Edith E.
  Smalley.  Preceded in death by parents. Survived by his wife, the
  former Evelyn Young; son, David John of Houston, Texas; step-son,
  Tommy Ball of Jerome; and grandson, David John of Jennerstown.  He
  was a brother of Faye Pannunzio of Boswell; James of Stoystown RD 1;
  and Katherine Woy of Johnstown.  He was a member of Hollsopple VFW
  Post 8861 and Ferndale Sportsmen.  Retired employee of Bethlehem
  Steel Eleven Inch Mill.  Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
  Thursday and Friday at Hugh W. Marron Funeral Home, Windber, where
  services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Chauncey J.
  Ickes.  Interment, Berkey Cemetery, Windber.
