Born April 16, 1932 in Glencoe, he was the son of the late Augustus and Gladys (Chisolm) McKenzie. Mr. McKenzie was preceded in death by brothers, Mason, Paul and Harry, and sister Shirley Diehl. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty "Dolly" (Porter) McKenzie with whom he would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on March 31, 2001; children, Marsha Kosic, Glencoe; James and wife the former Kimberly Miller, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Marilyn Heiple, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Teena Webreck and husband Brian, Berlin; Joseph and wife the former Tammy Wilhelm, Glencoe; Marty and wife the former Mary Ann Will, Glencoe; Lori Ling and husband Herb, Berlin; Wendy Boyer and husband Kevin, Berlin; Heidi Keefer, and husband Kyle, Glencoe, and Suzie St. Clair and husband Derrick, Friedens; also 27 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers James and wife Bessie, Corriganville, Md., John and wife Rita, Wellersburg, and Fred and wife Virginia, Wellersburg, and sisters Sue Habersack and husband Elmer, Cresaptown, Md.; Mary Faith Kennell, and husband Ray, Kennells Mill, and Joan Haines and husband Walter, Glencoe. Mr. McKenzie worked as a timber cutter and a trapper. He was of the Protestant faith. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman and trapper. He was a member of the Kennells Mill Sportsmen's Club and the Glencoe Sportmen's Club. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, where funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, with Rev. Charles R. Dunn officiating. Interment, Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Glencoe. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions be made to the 4 Center Special Care Unit, Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md. in memory of Mr. McKenzie.
