Born Jan. 29, 1937, in Frostburg, Md., he was the son of the late Thomas F. and Helen (Caton) McKenzie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol J. (Baer) McKenzie, July 21, 1998. He is survived by three sons, Gary F. McKenzie, Richard L. McKenzie and Barry W. McKenzie, all of Salisbury; seven brothers, Paul McKenzie, Clarksburg, Md.; John McKenzie, Laurel, Md.; Harold McKenzie, Severn, Md.; Larry McKenzie, Salisbury; Dale and Charles McKenzie, both of Frostburg, Md.; and David McKenzie, Meyersdale; and six grand-children. Mr. McKenzie was a member of Greenville Lutheran Church. He was a retired dairy farmer and was a member of Salisbury-Elk Lick Hunting Club and Trap League and was on the board of directors for Southern States. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Highway, Salisbury, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Greenville Lutheran Church. The Rev. David E. Fetter officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
