McKenzie, 62, of 34 Howard Street, Cumberland, Md., died November 30 at his residence. Born near Grantsville, Md., Mr. McKenzie was a son of the late Jacob H. and Lucy A. (McKenzie) McKenzie. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and had retired after 25 years of service as a night watchman with the Hazelwood Construction Co. Mr. McKenzie was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his widow, Ida R. (Petenbrink) McKenzie; one daughter, Miss Catherine E. McKenzie, at home; three sons, Robert W. Brode, LaVale, Md.; Jack E. Brode, with the Air Force in Florida, and David W. Brode, Cumberland; one brother, James Frankhouser, Keyser, W.Va.; one sister, Mrs. Lela Krause, Grantsville, Md., and two grandchildren. Friends were received at the Kight Funeral Home where prayers were recited by the Rev. Regis Larkin. Interment in St. Ann's Cemetery, Avilton. The Republic, December 8, 1977 [M0868]
