McKenzie, 67, West Salisbury, died Nov. 22, 1984, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born June 4, 1917, in Salisbury, he was a son of Caroline (Merrbach) McKenzie of Salisbury and the late Angus McKenzie. Besides his father, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Ernest. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, the former Betty E. Reiber; seven sons: Ronald A. Meyersdale RD 1; William H., Meyersdale; Mark E., West Salisbury; Charles B., Garrett RD 1; John J., Salisbury RD 1; Timothy W. and Harry J., both of Salisbury; three daughters: Mrs. Ruth E. Berkley, Boynton; Mrs. Wendy M. Diehl, Salisbury; and Mrs. Rebecca C. Hetrick, Grantsville, Md.; also one brother, Wilbur, Salisbury; two sisters; Mrs. Leona Oester, Grantsville, Md.; and Mrs. Lucille Werner, Meyersdale, RD 1; and 21 grandchildren. He was a retired heavy equipment mechanic, member of the Operating Engineers Local 66, Monroeville; member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, West Salisbury. Friends will be received Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with the Rev. Dominic Aversa officiating. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery. The Rosary will be held Sunday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to St. Michael's Catechism Fund. Daily American, November 24, 1984 [M0889]
