McKenzie, 79, of Finzel, Md., died May 12, 1972, at his home. Born in Garrett County, Md., he was a son of the late Louis and Mary (McKenzie) McKenzie. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and a retired construction worker. Surviving are his wife, the former Edna Smith; four sons, Francis A. McKenzie, Finzel; Henry L. McKenzie, Hagerstown; Joseph E. McKenzie, Millersville, Md.; and Ervin W. McKenzie, Mt. Savage, Md.; seven daughters, Mrs. Genevieve Lapp and Mrs. Mary McKenzie, both of Cresaptown, Md.; Mrs. Edna McCurry, College Park, Md.; Mrs. Anna Brode, Frostburg; Mrs. Alice Albright, Finzel; Mrs. Mildred Middleton, St. Clair Shores, Mich.; and Mrs. Helen Baker, Cumberland; 34 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren; three brothers, James McKenzie, Sykesville, Md.; John McKenzie, Akron, Ohio; and Thomas McKenzie, Frostburg Star Route; and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Pursley, Akron, Ohio; and Mrs. Dorothy Stott, Frostburg. A Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated Monday morning in St. Michael's Catholic Church. Interment in Finzel Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, May 8, 1972 [M0898]
