McKenzie, 66, of Hyndman RD 1, died Tuesday, March 6, 1990, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born March 11, 1923 in Morgantown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Patrick J. and Leota (Beal) Sullivan. A Navy veteran of World War II, she was a graduate of Strayer's Business Academy, Washington, D.C., and the Stillwater, Okla., Business College. She was formerly employed at Sacred Heart Hospital and Shireman's Insurance Adjusters, Cumberland, Md. Mrs. McKenzie was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Mount Savage, Md.; and the Ladies Auxiliary of Henry Hart Post 1141, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Cumberland. Survivors include her husband, Blaine McKenzie; three sons: Paul McKenzie, Baton Rouge, La.; Patrick J. McKenzie, Vancouver, Wash.; Lawrence J. McKenzie, Lincolnton, N.C.; one daughter, Mary Ann Hartshorn, Berlin, Md.; three sisters: Jo Ann Strock, Elliott City, Md.; Margaret T. Brown, Baltimore, Md.; Patricia A. Rowland, Louisville, Ky.; two brothers: Paul M. Sullivan, Riverdale, Md.; James P. Sullivan, Rehoboth Beach, Del.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Sowers Funeral Home, Frostburg, Md. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Mount Savage, by Father John Mackey. Interment, Cook Cemetery, near Wellersburg. Military honors were accorded at graveside by members of Henry Hart VFW Post. The Republic, March 15, 1990 [M0904]
