McKenzie, 78, Frostburg Village Nursing Home, formerly of Route 2, died Wednesday, June 6, 1990, at Memorial Hospital, Md. Born July 27, 1911, in Finzel, Md., he was the son of the late William and Lavina (Machin) McKenzie. He was a retired self-employed trucker and coal miner. He was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Frostburg, Md. Surviving are his widow, Edna (McKenzie) McKenzie; eight sons, Paul McKenzie, Forest City, Fla.; W. Darrell McKenzie, Mount Vernon, Ohio; Carl W. McKenzie, Mount Savage, Md.; John A. McKenzie, Cumberland, Md.; A. Wayne McKenzie, Murrell J. McKenzie and Delbert E. McKenzie, all of Frostburg, Md.; and Larry D. McKenzie, LaVale, Md.; four daughters, Mrs. Virginia E. Shriver, Frostburg, Md.; Mrs. Eileen L. Miller, Grantsville, Md.; and Mrs. Donna L. Cutter and Mrs. Janet E. Stairs, both of Meyersdale; two brothers, Richard and Albert McKenzie, both of Frostburg, Md.; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Wagner, Wilmington, N.C.; 38 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Durst Funeral Home, where services were conducted Friday at 1 p.m. by Pastor Richard D. Hall. Interment, Johnson Cemetery, Garrett County.
