McKenzie, 70, of 103 Columbia Avenue, Mt. Savage, Md., died February 7, 1986 at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md. He was born Jan. 7, 1916 in Pocahontas. He was a son of the late Elmer C. McKenzie and Nellie (Poorbaugh) McKenzie. His wife, Betty (Folk) McKenzie, and one daughter, Mrs. A. Faye King, preceded him in death. Mr. McKenzie was a retired employee of the Celanese Fibers Corporation. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Mt. Savage. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Cherie DeHaven, Corriganville, Md.; Mrs. Gayle Robertson and Mrs. Debbie Stafford, both of Mt. Savage, Md.; three sons, Ronald L. McKenzie, Hedgesville, W.Va.; Gary (Butch) McKenzie, Mt. Savage, Md.; Terry R. McKenzie, Corriganville, Md. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Leona Maley, Mt. Savage, Md.; Mrs. Kathleen Jones, Silver Springs, Md.; four brothers, Anthony (Dub) McKenzie, Ridgeley, W.Va.; Melvin McKenzie, Erwin, Tenn.; Theodore McKenzie, Silver Spring, Md., T. Arthur McKenzie, Mt. Savage, Md.; and 19 grandchildren. Friends were received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, Md., where services were held Feb. 10 with Rev. John J. Mackey officiating.
