"Mac" McKinlay, 84, Somerset, formerly of Sebastian, Fla., passed on Dec. 22, 2007, at home. Born Feb. 11, 1923, in Preston Pans, Scotland, UK, the son of the late Thomas and Jemima (Aitchison-Booker) McKinlay. Survived by his wife, Gloria (Gribben) McKinlay of Somerset; stepchildren, Jackie Cohan and husband, Ricky of Hooversville; Neil Hart and wife, Dane of Georgia; and Ian Hart of Spring City; step-grandchildren, Lee, Cassidy and Avery; sister, Catherine Josephson and husband, Rodney of Boynton Beach, Fla.; many cousins and relatives in Scotland; and Many friends in the Bahamas. He was a retired golf course maintenance specialist who worked for many years at golf clubs throughout the Bahamas and in Florida. He was also an avid gardener. Member of the North Irish Horse Regiment, an armored unit, who saw action in North Africa and Italy in World War II. There will be no viewing or visitation at Mr. McKinlay's request. A memorial service will be held in Sebastian. In May of 2008. Memorial contributions may be sent to "In Touch" Hospice at 223 Pleasant Ave., Somerset, PA 15501.
