   Marian Rosella McKowan, 87, Scalp Level Church of the Brethren Home, formerly of
  Somerset Pike, died July 16, 2006 at her residence. Born Nov. 5, 1918 in East Conemaugh
  Borough, daughter of Arthur and Bessie (Bracken) Dishong. Preceded in death by parents;
  husband, Herman B.; sisters, Velma Hunt, Dorothy Hoffman, and Garnet Dishong. Survived by
  children; Erma J., married to Gregory Juliano, Pittsburgh; Patricia L., married to Dale
  Kershner, Lancaster; Joan L., married to Dale Browning, Stoystown; grandson, Todd
  Browning, Rochester, N.Y.; great-grandchildren; Elise and Ainsley Browning, at home; and
  sister, Alice Hilands. Member of First United Methodist Church and Married Couples Class
  and was Choir mother. Retired sales clerk for Penn Traffic Co. There will be no
  visitation. A private interment will be held at Benshoff Hill Cemetery at the convenience
  of the family. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Aug. 12, at First United
  Methodist Church, the Rev. Dennis Zimmerman. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be
  made to Scalp Level Church of the Brethren Home, 277 Hoffman Ave., Windber, PA 15963.
