Born Aug. 5, 1944, in Johnstown. Son of Frank and Kathryn (Imgrund) McNeal. Preceded in death by parents, infant son, and special aunt and uncle, Ida and John Ward. Survived by his wife of 33 years, the former Nancy Weigle, and these children: Karen, Atlanta, Ga; Amy, married to Mark Mackey, Philadelphia, and Doug, Charlotte, N.C. Brother of Mrs. Ted (Collette) Lehman, Berlin; Mrs. Bruce (Delores) Mawson, Freehold, N.J.; Mrs. Harold (Dorothy) Copperberg, Sacramento, Calif.; Frank Jr., married to former Ann Rogers, Barnegat, N.J.; Mrs. Bruce (Carolyn) Landis and Mrs. Roy (Lana) Vena, both of Berlin, and Judy Manges, Greensburg. Also stepmother, Kathryn (Browning) McNeal, Shanksville. 1962 graduate of Shanksville-Stonycreek High School. Earned bachelor of science and master of science degrees from University of Pittsburgh School of Civil Engineering. He was a Professional Engineer. He was District Engineer 10-0 for PennDOT with 31 years of service. He received numerous state service awards. Member of the Executive Council for Penn's Woods Council. Boy Scouts of America; American Society of Highway Engineers, and University of Pittsburgh Civil Engineering Alumni. Enjoyed his avocation of home construction. An outdoorsman and active in his community. He liked traveling and being with his family. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Randall Miller officiating.
