McNelly, 80 of Rockwood, died August 8, 2008 at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. She was born June 15, 1928 in Mance, daughter of the late William Henry and Leora (Felker) Deist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander McNelly and long-time companion, Melvin Heining; sister, Mary Wiedner; an infant brother; step-brother; and a step nephew, Kenny Wiedner. She is survived by sisters: Edna Deist and Joan Smith, both of Meyersdale. The long-time companion's children: Dorothy Davis, Sally Marker, Mary Vought and Roger Heining, all of Somerset, Richard Heining and Howard Heining, Illinois; step-niece, Dorothy Arden, Somerset; and step-nephew, Samuel Wiedner, Jr., Berlin. Ruth was retired from Meyersdale Manufacturing. Ruth loved to work in her garden planting vegetables and flowers. Friends were received Monday and Tuesday at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale where Funeral Service was held with Reverend Ralph Landis officiating. Interment Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. MCNELLY, Ruth E. 08/10/08 Daily American Ruth E.
