McNutt, 72, of West Garrett St., Somerset, died at his residence. He was born Sept. 24, 1900, in Jenners Township a son of the late Samuel and Henrietta Spangler McNutt. He was also preceded in death by his wife, the former Martha Work, and three brothers, Virgil, Lester and Leroy. He was the brother of John of Boswell RD 1; William of Johnstown RD 4; and a half-brother Earl Spangler of Johnstown. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a past commander of the Somerset American Legion Post. He was a veteran of World War I and former treasurer and prothonotary of Somerset County. Friends are being received in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where services will be conducted today at 3:30 p.m. by the Rev. H. James Meyers. Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park.
