"Punch" McVicker, 81, of Goldsmith Road, Stoystown, died July 24, 2003, at Somerset Hospital. Born April 14, 1922 in Lincoln Township son of William and Ann (Shaulis) McVicker. Preceded in death by parents; wife of 58 years the former Margaret Sechler and a sister, Mrs. Burton (June) Thomas. Survived by sons: Larry K. of Rocky River, Ohio and Neil "Chip" married to the former Linda Carpenter of Stoystown; grandchildren: Robert married to the former Marcy Gumbert of Friedens, Ryann married to the former Dawn Bell and Raquel married to Daniel Dunmeyer, all of Stoystown; and great-grandchildren: Britney and Elle McVicker, Jenna and Bryan Weigle. Brother of Mrs. Albert (Marie) Vought of Boswell and Mrs. Gordon (Betty) Roose of Bedford. Also survived by a sister-in-law Catherine Winters of Somerset. Retired Quemahoning Township dairy farmer and served in the U.S. Navy. Member of Stoystown Charge United Church of Christ where he had served in Consistory and Cold Spring Camp, Clinton County. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Viewing from 12:30 p.m. until service at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul's U.C.C., Stoystown. Rev. John Emig officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.
