(Pat) McVicker, 80, Rockwood, died Feb. 19, 1989, in his home. Born Nov. 14, 1908, in Rockwood, a son of the late Austin and Vina (Brown) McVicker. Survived by his wife Catharine (Berkey) McVicker; one brother, Jack McVicker, Somerset; and three sisters: Mrs. Eleanor Vallas, Mrs. Eva Jean Haddad, both of Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Betty Minor, Rockwood. His death terminates a marriage of 54 years. He served with the U.S. Army in World War II. He was a Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission employee and a retiree of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Somerset American Legion and a member of the DAV of Meyersdale. Friends received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, Tuesday 2-9 p.m., where services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Rex Wasser officiating. Interment, Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Wood Funeral Home with Francis Brady supervising. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in his memory to Somerset Hospital Hospice.
