Born May 10, 1914, in Somerset, a daughter of the late A. E. McVicker and Vina Brown McVicker. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Vina B. McVicker, of Rockwood, two brothers, W. Howard and Jack B., both of Rockwood, four sisters, Mrs. Eleanor G. Vallas, Mrs. Ruby Seiler, Mrs. Eva Jean Weiss, all of Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Betty Minor, of Rockwood, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and one godchild, Kim Loebig, of Pittsburgh. She was preceded in death by a sister, Edna P. Miller. Miss McVicker worked for the United States government for 31 years, first in New York City with the public housing administration, then in Washington, DC with the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, then in the Social Security office in Pittsburgh. She retired in January 1972 and had been living in Rockwood. She was an active member of the Rockwood Community Action Group, and of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Somerset. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 Tuesday in the William J. Wood funeral Home, Rockwood, where Roseary [sic] will be recited Tuesday evening at 8:00. Holy Mass will be said in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Somerset, at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Samuel J. Tomaselli. Interment in the Rockwood IOOF Cemetery.
