  McVICKER
  
  William M. "Smokey" McVicker, 85, Stoystown RD 1, died June 22, 1986,
  at Somerset Community Hospital.  Born May 9, 1901, in Bedford
  County.  He was a son of the late Charles and Ruth (Logue)
  McVicker.  Preceded in death by his wife, the former Anna Shaulis who
  died on June 12, 1986, also preceded in death by four brothers, Harry,
  Walter, Warden and Robert, sisters, Lula Carolus, Lillian Brown, and
  Marie Olsen.  Survived by these children, Clarence "Punch," married
  to Margaret Sechler, Mrs. Burton (June) Thomas, both of Stoystown RD
  1, Mrs. Albert (Marie) Vought, Boswell, Mrs. Gordon (Betty) Roose,
  Bedford RD 2, 10 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.  Brother
  of Charles "Pete," Central City RD 1, and Mrs. Thomas (Ruby) Lease,
  York.  He was a retired coal miner, sawmiller, and member of the
  United Mine Workers of America.  Family will receive friends from 2-4
  and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where
  service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Samuel E.
  Charlton and the Rev. Karyl J. Leslie.  Interment, Horner-Mt. Tabor
  Cemetery.
