Schnelzer, of 500 North Street, Meyersdale, Tuesday Oct. 5, at 4 p.m. He was a native of England, born April 2, 1856, and was aged 87 years, 6 months and 3 days. He was a retired coal miner and had made his home with the Schnelzers for some time. He is survived by two sons, Victor Meager of Eckhart, Md., and Edwin J. Meager, of Meyersdale, and three daughters, Mrs. C. H. Williams, Yakima, Wash.; Mrs. W. A. Brace, Cayuse, Ore., and Mrs. Schnelzer of Meyersdale; also by 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. His wife, Mary Hider Meager, died in 1935. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:30 at the Schnelzer home by Rev. Nelson C. Brown in the absence of the pastor of the Methodist Church of which church he was a member. W. C. Price and Son have charge of funeral arrangements. Meyersdale Republican, October 7, 1943
