Means, 89, of 508 North Mechanic Street, Cumberland, Md., and more recently of the Allegany County Nursing Home, died April 27, 1988. Born in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late John Zink and Margaret (Lehr) Zink. Her husband, Jack E. D. Means, died April 1, 1988. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, past superintendent of the primary Sunday school department of the church, and the Lutheran Church Women of the church, the Valley Road Homemakers, YMCA auxiliary, Church Women United, and past treasurer of the Mountain Lutheran Church Women's Conference. She also served as election machine judge of District 5, precincts two and three. She is survived by one son, Jack D. Means II, Fort Collins, Colo.; one sister, Mrs. Helen M. Golden, Goodwill Mennonite Nursing Home, Grantsville, Md.; two grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew. Friends were received at the Kight Funeral Home. Services were conducted Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Richard A. Seaks. Interment, St. Luke's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Homer Plummer, Lawrence Durocher, John C.
