Meek, 82, New Port Richey, Fla., formerly of Windber, died July 15, 2006 at home. Born Dec. 24, 1923, in Windber, son of the late Walter and Mary (Hoffman) Meek. Also preceded in death by brothers Barrett, Camden, Edgar, Albert, Bill and grandson, Trevor. Survived by wife of 57 years, the former Mary Helman; these children: Deborah, New Port Richey, Rebecca, wife of W. Jack Dick, Richland Township, and Marlin G., II, married to the former Barbara Mayercsik, Windber; and four grandchildren, Amanda, Matt, Brady and Brittny. Brother of Orrin, married to the former Carol Pfahler, Richland Township, Sara, widow of Fred Rusmisell, Buchannon W.Va., and Mary, widow of Alonzo Seese, Phoenix, Ariz.; also sister-in-law, Marian (Wirick), widow of Albert Meek, New Port Richey. Marlin was the previous owner/operator of the Meek Funeral Home and former member of Lions Club, fire company, VFW, American Legion, Cenwest Bank Advisory Board, Zoning Board and Calvary United Methodist Church, all of Windber. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Meek and Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber, where service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev.
