The commital service was in charge of the Rev. Nelson C. Brown, pastor of Amity Evangelical and Reformed Church. The deceased was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Dom, former residents of Meyersdale, and was also the widow of the late Dr. John D. Meese, who passed away 25 years ago. Dr. Meese will be remembered as one of Meyersdale's most prominent educators, having served as principal of the local schools, and was also founder and head of the Meyersdale Preparatory School, which was conducted in the building now occupied by Charles F. Jenkins and family on Main Street. Dr. Meese, after leaving Meyersdale, served efficiently as superintendent of the California State Normal School. Surviving are two children, H. P. Meese, Swissvale; Mrs. H. P. Swartz, East McKeesport, and a brother, Oliver P. Dom, resides in Dawson. Edgar Klingaman, who resides on Meyers Avenue, Meyersdale, was a nephew of the late Mrs. Meese.
