RICHARD C. MEESE

  The body of Richard C. Meese, U.S. Army Air Corps, who died in the South 
Pacific, will arrive in Meyersdale today (Thursday) for reburial here.
  Having been shipped to the Pacific about a week after peace was declared 
there, he met his death when the B-29 on which he was making his flying hours, 
crashed.
  He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh P. Meese of Swissvale.  His grandparents, 
the late Prof. and Mrs. John D. Meese, former residents of Meyersdale, are 
buried in the local cemetery.
  Military services will take place at 2 p.m. Friday in Union Cemetery, in 
charge of Charles E. Kelly Post No. 112, American Legion, and John C. Tressler 
Post 3504, Veterans of Foreign Wars.  Interment is in charge of H. R. Konhaus.
