Menear, 70, of Berlin, died Jan. 18, 1996, at Somerset Hospital. Born April 22, 1925, in Somerset, son of Acie and Helen (Feathers) Menear. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Roy, and sister, Betty Lambert. Survived by his wife, the former Ruth Maust; sons: Terry and friend Anita Tressler of Rockwood, and Larry, married to the former Darlene McKlveen, Ligonier; stepdaughter, Donna, married to Jerry Charlton of Friedens; seven grandchildren and a great-grandson. He was an avid horseman and liked to fish. Retired from Snyders of Berlin. World War II Army veteran. Member of Berlin Last Man's Club; Robert Walker VFW Post 7295 of Berlin, and New Baltimore Sportsman Club. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Rev. Sherman Berkey.
