  MENEAR
  
  Roy E. Menear Sr., 71, of Stoystown RD 3, died Aug. 16, 1989, in
  Memorial Hospital, Johnstown.  Born July 26, 1918, in Terra Alta,
  W.Va., son of Acie E. of Berlin, and the late Helen B. (Feathers)
  Menear.  Also preceded in death by sister, Betty Lambert, and infant
  granddaughter, Vickie Anne Yachere.  Survived by his wife of 50
  years, the former Lucy Sines, and these children: Mrs. Wayne
  (Beatrice) Coddington and Mrs. Thomas (Joan) Baker, both of Friedens
  RD 1; Roy E. Jr., married to the former Elnora Whipkey of Boswell RD
  2; Violet Shaffer of Berlin RD 1; Mrs. Albert (Susan) Yachere of
  Friedens RD 2; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter,
  Dominique Marie Waterson.  Brother of John F., married to the former
  Ruth Maust of Berlin.  He was a retired steel worker and member of
  Somerset County Oldtimers Baseball Association.  Family will receive
  friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, at Deaner
  Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m.
  Saturday with the Rev. C. J. Ickes officiating.  Interment, Husband
  Cemetery.
