  ANNA L. MENGES
  
    Mrs. Anna L. Menges, 79, 222 Main St., Berlin, died Thursday, Feb.
  24, in Meyersdale Community Hospital.  She was born Jan. 15, 1887, in
  Brothersvalley Twp., a daughter of the late Walter S. and Ellen
  (Tayman) Lane.
    She is survived by her husband, Harry Menges, and a brother Jacob
  S. (Bud) Lane of Berlin.  She was preceded in death by three brothers.
    Mrs. Menges taught school in Northampton and Brothersvalley
  Townships for 44 years, and was employed by the Department of Public
  Welfare for 20 years. 
    She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Berlin and the
  Berlin Rebekah Lodge.
    Funeral service was held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Johnson and Son
  Funeral Home, the Rev. Walter L. Brandau officiating.  Interment in
  Berlin IOOF Cemetery.
