Born May 18, 1922, in Salisbury, son of Norman E. and Ethel (Engle) Menhorn. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Paul E.; infant son, Sammy; and granddaughter, Sarah Menhorn. Survived by his wife of 51 years, the former Peggy Mae Foor, and these children: Ruth Elaine, married to David Fritz of Germantown, Md.; Paul, married to the former Vicki VanGilder, and Norman, married to the former Joan Bush, both of Berlin, and Mark, at home; grandchildren: Jeff and Richard Fritz, Katie, Nathan and Emily Menhorn. World War II Army veteran, having served with the 56th Field Artillery. Retired Brothersvalley Township farmer. Member of St. Paul's (Wilhelm) United Church of Christ, Valley Grange, Berlin Young Farmers, and the Last Man's Club of Berlin. Lifetime member of Berlin American Legion and VFW. Honorary chapter farmer of Berlin FFA and past 4-H leader. Family received friends Sunday evening and will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Rev. Bryan G. Karchner. Interment, St. Paul (Wilhelm) Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Amity-Wilhelm Parish UCC, Box 997, Meyersdale, Pa. 15552. Graveside military rite by Berlin American Legion and VFW.
