Menser, 75, Columbus, Ind., died Dec. 6, 2002 at his home. Born Aug. 21, 1927 in Somerset, a son of Warren E. and Darl Brandt Menser. Preceded in death by a sister, Audry Menser, brother Kenneth Menser, and stepson Ron Thompson. Survived by wife, Virginia Miller Thompson, whom he married on Aug. 27, 1973; children, Dana Menser, Somerset, Kevin Menser of Columbus, Ind., and Mark Menser of Indianapolis; stepchildren, Glenn Thompson of Columbus, Ind., and Gloria Regester of Bloomington, Ind.; grandchildren, Corey, Evan and Devin Menser and three step-grandchildren; and brother, LeRoy Menser of Somerset. Retired in 1983 after 31 years at Cummins. Member of Bayless Masonic at Jonesville, Murat Shrine and American Legion. Army veteran of World War II. Funeral service at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Norman Funeral Home, Hope, Ind. Rev. Dale Bransetter officiating. Interment, Flat Rock Baptist cemetery with military graveside rites.
