    Orpha T. Mentzer, 83, Martinsburg, died April 20 at her home
  following an extended illness.
    She was born March 1, 1894, in Meyersdale.
    She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Horning. 
  She is survived by her second husband, R. Leon Mentzer, a daughter,
  Mary Louise Ringler, Roanoke, Va.; two stepchildren, Robert Mentzer,
  Huntington, and Jane Bankert, Feasterville; six grandchildren, two
  brothers, John Tressler, Somerset and James Tressler, Bethleham, Pa.,
  and one sister, Edna Kretchman of Meyersdale.  
    She was a member of the Saint Matthew Lutheran Church, Martinsburg.
    Services were conducted at the John C. Bolger Funeral Home,
  Martinsburg with the Rev. Gerald E. Moorhead officiating.  
    Interment, Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
