  Kenneth Merberger
  
    Kenneth E. Merberger, 69, Rockwood RD 2, formerly of Hollsopple RD
  2, died July 12, 1988, at Somerset Community Hospital.
    Born Feb. 23, 1919, in Johnstown, he was a son of Charles and
  Sylvia (Roademan) Merberger.
    He was preceded in death by parents, and brother Dean.
    He is survived by widow, former Violet E. Berkebile, to whom he was
  married for 46 years; children: Sandra L., wife of Frederick Gipe,
  Johnstown; Karen E., wife of Charles Palmer, Sacramento, Calif.; and
  Kenneth J., married to former Diana Rutledge, Johnstown; and foster
  sons, Steven Sinclair and George Coccia; also five grandchildren.
    He was a brother of Marie Ritcher, Barnesville, Ohio; Charles,
  Cleveland, Ohio; and Dorothy Gray, Johnstown.  Member of Benscreek
  Lutheran Church.  Associate member of Church of the Brethren, Lorida,
  Fla.
    He was a retired employee of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 354 and
  former Local 530.
    Friends were received at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home.  Funeral
  services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at Benscreek Lutheran Church,
  the Rev. Thomas Bruner.  Interment, Richland Cemetery.
