  GODFREY H. MERRBACH
  
    Godfrey H. Merrbach, 76, of Salisbury RD 1, died Nov. 14, 1973, in
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.
    Born in Elk Lick Township, Sept. 16, 1897, he was a son of the late
  Henry and Anna (Bowers) Merrbach.  He was a member of St. John's
  Lutheran Church.
    Surviving is his wife, the former Mary A. Deitle; two daughters,
  Mrs. Margaret Knecht, Salisbury; and Mrs. Evelyn Streng, Pittsburgh;
  six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles
  and William Merrbach, both of Salisbury RD; and five sisters, Mrs.
  Carrie McKenzie and Mrs. Lydia Butler, both of Salisbury; Mrs. Amelia
  Valentine, Stoystown; Mrs. Elmira Metzner, LaVale; and Mrs. Emma
  Winebrenner, Frostburg.
    Funeral service was conducted Saturday morning in Thomas Funeral
  Home, Salisbury, with Rev. David E. Fetter officiating.  Interment in
  Greenville Cemetery.
