LYDIA CRISTINE MERRBACH

  Lydia Cristine Merrbach, daughter of Theodore and Beulah Butler Merrbach, died 
Saturday morning at her home near here, the victim of acute lymphatic leukemia.  
She was seven years, six months and twenty-three days of age.  The child had 
been a patient at the Memorial Hospital, at Cumberland for several weeks and was 
removed to her home just a few days before her death.  The Rev. Samuel D. 
Sigler, pastor of the Grantsville Lutheran Church, conducted funeral services 
from the home Monday afternoon, July 28, and interment was in the family burial 
plot on the home place under the direction of William Winterberg, local 
mortician.  Besides her parents, several brothers and sisters survive.
