  BERNICE L. MERRILL
  
    Bernice L. Merrill, 68, of Route 2, Grantsville, Md., died Sunday,
  Nov. 27, 1988, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford, Del.
    Born July 20, 1920, in Cove, Md., she was the daughter of the late
  Forrest and Grace (Camp) Beachy.
    She was a member of the Cherry Grove Church of the Brethren,
  Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, Northern Garrett
  County Republican Women's Club and the Garrett County Farm Bureau.
    Survivors included her husband, William Merrill; one son, Lowell T.
  Merrill, Grantsville, Md.; one daughter, Dixie L. Northam, Laurel,
  Del.; one brother, Kenneth Beachy, Grantsville, Md.; two sisters,
  Helen Bernhard, Inverness, Fla.; and Wanda Sheffield, Grantsville,
  Md.; and five grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home.
    Services were conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Cherry Run Church
  of the Brethren by the Rev. Steve Durr and the Rev. Connell Chaney. 
  Interment, Grantsville Cemetery.
    Pallbearers were Mike Beachy, Mark Beachy, Jeffrey Sheffield,
  Joseph Sheffield, Tim Thomas and James Thomas.
