Death of Infant Son

  Douglas T. Merrill, three-week-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Merrill, died 
Tuesday at the home of his parents in Baltimore.  William Winterberg, local 
mortician, brought the body here Wednesday.  Funeral services were held Thursday 
morning at the home of the child's maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel J. 
Otto, at New Germany.  Rev. Virgil R. Gillum, pastor of the local Methodist 
church, officiated.  Interment in the Reformed church cemetery at New Germany.  
Mrs. Merrill will be remembered as the former Miss Eileen Otto.  This was their 
first child.
