    Elizabeth L. "Libby" Merrill, 68, 1101 East Main Street, Berlin,
  died April 19, 1987, in Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md.  Born Feb.
  6, 1919, in Berlin, daughter of the late Elwood and Bertha (Philson)
  Landis.  Survived by husband, Charles A. Jr., and these children:
  Patricia, wife of Richard Hankinson, Vienna, Va.; Richard L., married
  to former Sue L. Merrill, Ligonier; Sally, wife of John Ancona,
  Homestead, Fla.; also these grandchildren: Steven, Todd, and Kristine
  Hankinson, Max and Meredith Merrill and Sara and John Ancona Jr. 
  Sister of Edwin P. Landis, Berlin RD 1; and Mrs. Ben (Marylou)
  Walker, Pittsburg.  Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church; Pius
  Spring Women's Club, Berlin; Somerset County Women's Club; Somerset
  Garden Club; Forbes Chapter D.A.R., Somerset; Somerset Historical
  Society; Somerset County Coin Club; and Somerset County Artists
  Association.  Graduate of Berlin High School and attended Kutztown
  University.  Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the
  Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 a.m.
  Wednesday, the Rev. Ralph E. Mills officiating.  Interment, Berlin
  I.O.O.F. Cemetery.  Family would appreciate memorials in her memory
  to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity United Church of Christ or
  Berlin Brethren Church.
