LILLIE MERRILL

  Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Florence Chaney Merrill, 70, wife of John 
Merrill, who died at her home, Merrill, Md., Friday, Nov. 16, were held at the 
Cherry Grove Church of the Brethren, Monday afternoon.  Rev. B. Scrogum of 
Cumberland, officiated.  Interment was on the home farm.
  Mrs. Merrill was born Oct. 23, 1875, and was married in 1898 to John Merrill 
who survives, with three sons - Glen, Bernard and Delwood, at home; two deceased 
sons; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Demming, Stoystown, Pa.; Mrs. Laura Glison, 
Frostburg, and a brother, Hudson Chaney, Westernport.
  She was a faithful member of the Church of the Brethren for 42 years.
