Born Dec. 24, 1939, in Marguerite, Westmoreland County, a son of Andrew and Anna (Kopcho) Meslovich. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Andrew; and brothers- in-law, Leonard Miller and John Mognet. Survived by a brother, Joseph, married to the former Betty Miller, Grottoes, Va.; sisters: Virginia Meslovich, Somerset; Susanna Miller, Glen Savage; Margaret Taliaferro, married to Tony, Berlin; and Evelyn Mognet, Meyersdale; nieces and nephews: Michelle and husband, Chad Lytle and Alan Mognet, all of Meyersdale; Ryan Taliaferro, married to the former Anita Kwok, Portugal and San Francisco; and Joseph Meslovich, married to the former Elizabeth Engleking, Harrisonburg, Va. He attended St. Vincent Prep and Hurst High School. He served as an MP in the U.S. Army. He was a retired road construction worker. Member of Local 1058 for 37 years, the American Legion Post 445 and VFW Post 7295 in Berlin, and the New Baltimore Sportsmen's Club. Family will receive friends from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where a vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Additional viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore. The Rev. Allen Zeth officiating. Interment church cemetery. Graveside military honors will be provided by the Berlin American Legion and VFW.
