Fenton Messenger, 55, of Union Port, Ohio, died Mar. 7, 1974 in Altman Hospital, Canton, Ohio. Born Nov. 29, 1918, in Tokyo, Japan, and was a son of the late J. Fenton Messenger Sr. and Edna Williams Messenger. Survived by his stepmother, Mrs. Rosabelle Messenger of Somerset, his wife the former Doris Kleist; these children, Mrs. Robert (Pat) Mack, Benholtz, Ohio, Mrs. Terry (Jane) Go Gulling, Akron, Ohio; and Mrs. Randall (Barbara) Frederick, of Canton, Ohio; seven grandchildren; these sisters, Mrs. Walter (Dora) Williams, Somerset, Mrs. Robert (Ester) Wheitsell, Canton, Ohio. He was pastor of the Unionport Christian Church, Unionport, Ohio. He was a member of the Russiaville Masonic Lodge, F. & A. M., No. 82. Private funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home with Clarence Schnars, minister, officiating.
