  MESSINA
  
  Joseph Messina, 56, Holly Lane, Somerset RD 5, died June 7, 1973 in
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Aug. 10, 1916 in Caretta, W.Va.,
  son of the late Gaetano and Mary Messina.  Survived by his widow the
  former Violetta V. Sarver and these children: Connie Lee, wife of
  Mark Pritts, Rockwood RD 3; Joseph William, Manassas, Va.; brother of
  Michael M., Johnstown; Mrs. Pauline Mandalin and Anthony, both of
  Ravenna, Ohio; Mrs. Paul (Irene) Barnett, Boswell.  He was a member
  of Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset Volunteer Fire Dept.; he was
  secretary of the Somerset Township Municipal Authority; he was
  assistant parts manager for Saylor Motor Co.  Friends are being
  received in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where services will be
  conducted Saturday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. H. James Meyers
  officiating.  Interment in the Somerset County Memorial Park. 
  Firemen's memorial service will be conducted at 7:30 Friday evening
  at the funeral home.
